MX records checker

Look up a domain's mail servers and confirm it can receive email.

Free · No signup · Uses Piisend public API with Turnstile

MX (mail exchange) records tell the internet which servers accept email for a domain. Without them, messages cannot be delivered.

Use this before adding a sending domain or when debugging delivery issues. Piisend domain verification also relies on correct DNS.

For developers

Call the Intelligence API from your backend with a Piisend API key. No Turnstile token needed — Turnstile is only for this browser checker. See integration guides.

curl -X POST https://api.piisend.com/api/v1/intelligence/mx-records \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer pii_live_..." \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"domain":"example.com"}'

FAQ

What if no MX records are found?

The domain may not be configured for email, DNS may not have propagated yet, or the domain does not exist. Double-check spelling and wait for DNS TTL if you recently added records.

Does this verify SPF or DKIM?

No. Use our SPF/DKIM/DMARC checker for authentication records. MX only shows where mail is accepted.
