Namecheap DNS Setup Guide for Piisend Domain Verification

This guide walks you through configuring Namecheap Advanced DNS to verify your domain for sending, receiving, and tracking with Piisend.


Step 1: Log into Namecheap & Manage Domain

  1. Sign into your Namecheap Account.
  2. Go to Dashboard -> Domain List.
  3. Next to your domain (yourdomain.com), click Manage.
  4. Click on the Advanced DNS tab at the top.

Step 2: Add Sending Records (SPF & DKIM)

1. Add SPF Record (TXT)

  • Type: TXT Record
  • Host: @ (or subdomain like mail)
  • Value: v=spf1 include:piisend.com ~all
  • TTL: Automatic

2. Add DKIM Record (CNAME / TXT)

  • Type: CNAME Record
  • Host: k1._domainkey (or k1._domainkey.mail)
  • Target: dkim.piisend.com
  • TTL: Automatic

Step 3: Add Receiving Records (MX Records)

Scroll down to Mail Settings on the Advanced DNS page:

  1. Set Mail Settings dropdown to Custom MX.
  2. Click Add New Record:

MX Entry 1

  • Host: @ (or subdomain like mail)
  • Value: mxa.piisend.com
  • Priority: 10

MX Entry 2

  • Host: @ (or subdomain like mail)
  • Value: mxb.piisend.com
  • Priority: 10

Step 4: Add Tracking Record (CNAME)

  • Type: CNAME Record
  • Host: email (or email.mail)
  • Target: track.piisend.com
  • TTL: Automatic

Step 5: Save & Verify in Piisend

Click the green checkmarks in Namecheap to save all changes, then click Verify Domain in your Piisend Dashboard.
